Marketing, websites and AI for businesses in Brampton

The Flower Town still grows things.

nuordinary helps established businesses, healthcare practices, manufacturers and nonprofits work out honestly what needs to change, then builds what moves them: strategy, brand, websites, marketing, search, AI and systems. Our head office is in London, Ontario, and we work with organisations in Brampton and across Canada.

The Flower Town of Canada.

In 1863 Edward Dale started growing vegetables in Brampton, then roses under glass. By the early 1900s, its plaque records, the Dale Estate employed a quarter of Brampton’s population, and Brampton became the Flower Town of Canada.

The village of 1853 became a city in 1974. By the 2021 census it was home to 656,480 people, up 10.6% in five years.

Gage Park, the city’s first municipal park, opened on Dominion Day 1903. In winter it has a skating trail.

Who’s building here

A few of the people and places building Brampton:

[01] The makers

From Italy in 1953. Pasta since 1989.

Joseph Vitale arrived in Canada from Italy in 1953. In 1989 he founded Italpasta, a family business that makes pasta from 100% Canadian wheat in Brampton. In January 2025 he was appointed to the Order of Ontario.

In May 2024 the federal government invested more than $1.7 million to help Italpasta replace older equipment with a production line that triples its capacity. It employs about 200 people.

In February 2025, as the US threatened tariffs, the Mayor’s “Made in Brampton” video showed what the city makes, Italpasta and Endy mattresses among them.

Making it is the hard part. Being found for it shouldn’t be.

[02] The people who care for people

94 future doctors, in Brampton.

In September 2025, 94 students began their medical degrees at the Toronto Metropolitan University School of Medicine in Brampton, in the former Bramalea Civic Centre. The City donated the building and $20 million. TMU calls it the first new medical school in the GTA in over 100 years.

Brampton Civic Hospital’s emergency department sees about 116,000 visits a year, roughly 318 a day. At Peel Memorial, work began in March 2025 on a 12-storey tower with up to 250 post-acute beds and a 24/7 emergency department.

Around them are the clinics, practices and allied health professionals people see every week. Their job is care. The website, the booking and the paperwork should make that easier, not harder.

[03] The main streets

A bakery bought by newlyweds. Still baking.

In March 1982, newlyweds Randy and Cindy Bruder bought a bakery franchise in Brampton. When the franchise expired in 2003, they gave it their own name: The Grainery Bakery & Deli, still on Stafford Drive.

Every Saturday from June to October, the farmers’ market fills Main Street North downtown.

Carabram started in 1982 with four pavilions. This July it ran for the 44th time, with 17. Board president Angela Johnson calls it a place “where cultures meet, families connect, and newcomers find a sense of home.”

Owners on these streets run the shop, the books, the staff and the social media. They shouldn’t have to figure all of it out alone.

[04] The organisations working for something bigger

More than 500,000 visits in a year.

Knights Table has served Brampton for 34 years. In the past year it counted more than 500,000 visits and 350,000 meals served. In June 2026 it announced a groundbreaking for a bigger home at 73 Hale Road.

Executive Director Annie Bynoe describes it as “a place where people can access food, support and community without barriers.”

Small teams carry a lot. The systems behind them should carry some of it.

Looking past one market.

About 310 local businesses work with Go Global Brampton and export outside Canada and the US (September 2026).

In September the City unveiled a 10-point plan to help businesses find customers beyond the US. Mayor Patrick Brown: “We can’t be dependent on one market.”

We want to tell more of these stories in our Field Notes. If you’re building something in Brampton, tell us about it.

Building here isn’t always easy.

  1. 01

More than 2,200 workers at Stellantis’ Brampton Assembly Plant have been idle since December 2023. In August 2026 Stellantis told their union it wants to discuss a sale.

  2. 02

Contract talks over the plant’s future reached an impasse in September 2026.

  3. 03

City council says Brampton has 96 hospital beds per 100,000 residents, against 220 across Ontario (February 2025).

  4. 04

Demand for food help keeps growing: Knights Table is expanding to keep up.

Those pressures land differently on everyone:

A business owner needs more revenue without more hours in the week.

A manufacturer could serve new markets but struggles to show buyers what it makes.

A practice wants to see more patients with a team that’s already stretched.

A nonprofit needs more supporters without more work for its staff.

Different problems. Different answers. Sometimes the first step is to stop adding activity and work out what will actually make a difference.

Where Brampton owners get help

There’s real help in town for owners and founders:

Sometimes the most useful thing we can do is point you to the right resource, even when that resource isn’t us.
