Email marketing for businesses and nonprofits

The channel you own. Use it like you mean it.

nuordinary plans, writes and builds email marketing for established businesses, healthcare practices and nonprofits: welcome series, newsletters, nurture sequences, donor journeys and follow-up after enquiries. Every list is built with consent under Canada’s anti-spam law, and every email has a job to do.

Your email list is an asset. Most businesses barely use it.

The people on your list chose to hear from you. That’s rare. Yet most lists get a newsletter now and then, or a sale email when things are quiet.

Email works best as a series of useful messages tied to what someone just did: enquired, booked, bought, donated or went quiet. Those messages can run on their own, every day, for every person.

We plan those journeys, write them in your voice and keep them compliant with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Is this right for you?

A good fit if

  • You have a list and don’t use it well.
  • Leads go quiet after the first enquiry.
  • You’re a nonprofit that wants donors to stay, not just give once.

Not the right fit if

  • You want to email people who never opted in.
  • You want a weekly blast with nothing to say.

Pricing

How pricing works

Every engagement starts with the truth about where you are and what you’re trying to change. Then you get the scope and the price in writing before any work starts: a defined project, a monthly arrangement or a mix of the two. You only pay for what the outcome needs.

Marketing work follows the same six moves as everything nuordinary does: See, Define, Map, Build, Move and Next. We measure the movement, not the activity, and when the work is done we ask: Where next?

Questions

Is email marketing still worth it?

For most organisations, yes. It’s one of the few channels you own outright, and automated follow-up after an enquiry or purchase is often where it pays most.

What is CASL, and does it apply to us?

Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation covers commercial electronic messages sent from, or read on, a computer in Canada. In short: get consent, identify yourself and make unsubscribing easy. nuordinary builds your email programme to meet it.

Which email platform should we use?

It depends on your list size, your CRM and what you need to automate. Klaviyo, Mailchimp and HubSpot are common choices. We recommend one that fits the systems you already have.

Can you help nonprofits with donor email?

Yes. Thank-you, impact update and renewal journeys are some of the most valuable emails a nonprofit sends, and they’re straightforward to automate well.
